The days of film-based movie making are on the wane. Already, more
than 250 motion pictures have been produced using digital technology
for theater presentation using digital projection systems, and distribution
via High Definition Cable TV. A large portion of the entries at the
Sundance Festival are produced and delivered on High-Definition video.
The benefits to the production community are many, beginning with lower
cost of production, returning the emphasis to story-telling, and lower
cost of distribution, meaning than more content can be produced and
distributed for the same amount of distribution capital.
Building on 20 years of feature film production experience on the
forefront of digital production, Home Baked Entertainment is ideally
situated to help move your production into the new production/distribution/presentation
paradigm.
By way of illustration, compare the following images of test scenes.
The images at the left are as viewed in conventional NTSC format television
resolution. This is how the image content would be viewed on standard
television sets in the United States. The images on the right are the
exact same scenes produced in High Definition format, 1920x1080, for
digital distribution and presentation.
